To date most of the articles written about eco-anxiety approach it like a mental illness. But we see concerns about the environment and their far-ranging economic impact as a very real twin threats, one ecological and one economic. Our courses focus on how to help clients understand and accept the reality of these threats and guide them through the five stages of the Waking Up Syndrome that occur as one faces them. Then we can help clients explore and pursue possible new careers and lifestyles to safeguard their personal futures.
The best way we've found to guide clients through the emotional roller coaster of confronting the changes now descending on our lives is to draw upon ecopsychology, turning to the enlightening and healing roles the natural environment can provide in helping us understand, accept and come to peace with ourselves and the nature of life, no matter where we live.
